Get Alkaline Now!

by Vashte on April 1, 2012

Depending on the mineral composition of the foods you eat and the way in which you digest them, depends on whether the ash residue left after metabolism is alkaline or acidic.

What is alkalinity?

Alkaline forming                                                           Neutral                                      Extremely Acid Forming

7.5pH  +                                                                                  4.0pH                                                                  0.5pH

Rule of thumb:

Eat and drink 80% alkaline forming foods and drinks; 20% acid forming foods and drinks.

What produces alkalinity in the human body?

Over and above all things, including food is your spiritual and mental state. If you choose to live a fast paced, sleep deprived and highly stressful lifestyle; then you choose an acidic, PRO -aging environment. Not allowing an absolute minimum of 15 minutes ‘me’ time EVERY DAY… (best and most practical first thing in the morning) then you could be asking for trouble. The way I see it, you have two choices and two choices only:

1.       Life

2.       Death

Choose life.

We only get one shot at it. Why not give it your best shot?

We are living longer so wouldn’t you want to be as healthy as possible in your old age as opposed to needing someone to wipe your bum? Confronting? Perhaps; why is The Truth so confronting to so many today? We live in a world where the future is not considered. We appear to possess and proudly proclaim a microwave society mentality which is pointing to self destruction. Why buy into it? We can live in this world but not be OF it.

Our world today=  ME ME ME NOW NOW NOW

… and as a result our children don’t even know what a tomato is or looks like, but can recognise a tomato sauce bottle readily. We are teaching our children how to be first class consumers. We have grown them into the fattest kids IN THE WORLD, and not given them the education they need to make correct choices nutritionally, educationally nor spiritually. In essence we are not only killing ourselves through gluttony in every sense of the word, but are also killing our OWN CHILDREN.  Isn’t that defined as genocide? Usually carried out by the enemy.. not our own parents, or our own selves…

So lets get alkaline! Here is how to start:

A number of factors contribute as to how the digestive system functions, which in turn influences action or reaction of the digestive system. These include but are not limited to:

  • Stress patterns
  • Ability to process life’s’ highs and lows
  • Emotional stability

An alkaline state in the human body can be produced through:

  • Good food combinations
  • Moderate quantities of food chewed well
  • Relaxation
  • Soothing light massage
  • Moderate non- confronting exercise
  • Deep breathing
  • Prayer and meditation
  • Unconditional love

For proper functioning of vital organs, the human body may function well in an alkaline environment. Alkaline reserves in the body can be produced by consuming alkaline forming foods.

WHY do we need to be ‘alkaline’?

“Alkalinity, referred to as the pH, is determined by the concentration of Hydrogen ions in a substance such as water, blood or food. On a scale from 1 – 14, a pH level of 7.0 is considered neutral, 7.0 downwards is increasingly acidic and upwards of 7.0 is increasingly alkaline. Our bodies are alkaline by design and acidic by function. God made the body so that both components are needed. The human body has adapted to two types of digestion, alkaline for starches and acid for proteins, but true health lives in an alkaline state. “

HOW do I get alkaline?

7.5 pH

  • Prayer -Through prayer and meditation. Having a peaceful, LOVING, kind environment is the single most important factor in reaching an alkaline state. Make sure you surround yourself and others with loads of love, joy and peace.
  • Peace
  • Meditation
  • Love
  • Kindness
  • Lemons -Warm water and half a lemon’s juice is a perfect way to start every day. Lemons yield a pH level of 7.5 = highly alkalising. By starting the day in this way you produce an alkaline environment for food to easily digest.  Lemons also play a major role in warding off colds, coughs, sore throats, heart burn and gastro upsets.
  • Watermelon – Super alkalising food. Can be used in a yearly cleansing fast. For approximately 5 days eat water melons only including the pips. Ensure you chew the pips well. Always choose NON GM foods.
  • Pea protein isolate

I was going to list super alkalising foods, but what is better is for you to google lists of alkaline/acidic foods. A simple rule of thumb I follow is:

  • The greener and leafier the food (often a vege) the more alkaline the food is.
  • Eat food in its natural, uncooked state as often as you can. Go for an absolute minimum of 51% uncooked whole foods – the way God made them.
  • NEVER eat microwaved food – it is no longer fit for consumption.

When positive acidity in the body is reached, the human body will break down. High acidity is reached by alkaline reserves being depleted through stressful environments and consuming excess acid forming foods.

Acidic residue in the human body can be produced through:

  • Stress
  • Negative Emotions
  • Poor food combinations
  • Excess acid-forming foods and drinks
  • Insufficient digestive capacity

  • Fruit juice with sugar
  • Processed maple syrup
  • Sulphured molasses
  • Commercial pickles
  • Refined cereals – weetbix, corn flakes etc.
  • Alcohol
  • Yoghurt sweetened.
  • Meat

  • Brown sugar – Most are white sugars with golden syrup added.
  • Chicken
  • Chocolate
  • Coffee
  • Custard with white sugar
  • Jellies
  • White pasta
  • Refined, iodised white table salt
  • Black tea
  • Wheat bread
  • White rice
  • Processed white vinegar.

  • Carbonated soft drinks and fizzy drinks – leaches minerals.
  • White flour – Bleached has no goodness
  • White pastries and cakes
  • Pork
  • White sugar – POISON, AVOID IT!
  • Cigarette, tobacco.
  • Drugs

Rule of thumb: 80% ALKALINE, 20% ACIDIC.

Great article Vashte :-) I have been making some healthy changes recently and this was a great motivation to read… I have been reducing heavily the amount of sugar in my diet but couldn’t kick my morning cup of tea, white with one… As of tomorrow I am back to my old habit of lemon juice in warm water first thing… Interestingly as I have been reducing and reducing the sugar intake the morning cuppa has been less and less enjoyable… The body knows… we have to stop and listen xo

I will have to look into Burmese food Sonya! Thank you! I love Thai, is it anything similar – foods that are only lightly cooked and vege predominant are my favourite due to the alkaline components and clean food. Bless you and thank you

Great Article, I know I need to alkalise. and this has given me an insight on how to start – watermelon juices, loads of green leafy veges and lemon tea for me… off ot the organic markets now – thanks xxx

Hi Antoinette. :) This is a great start!! Organic is definately the best for the body, and go the green all the way!!! Watermelon is great but dont mix fuits with veges, or eat after other foods. Rulle of thumb- fruit first as the natural sugars can play havoc with other digestive enzymes from other food sources making fruit harder to digest and losing the benefit. On its on – Bob’s your uncle xx(he is mine anyway :) ) Hope this makes sense.
