Alkalising Strawberry Banana and Almond Breakfast Smoothie

Whats in it?

100 mls Almond Milk,ice, 100 mls alkaline water, handful of frozen organic strawberries, 1 banana, a few almonds, 1 teaspoon organic avocado, a sprinkle of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon L-Glutamine, if you want to sweeten – a tiny bit of honey but try it without first- it is naturally sweet. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Blend in your magic bullet! Then devour!!! Great start to the day!!!

Time is a major factor for many people, especially in the mornings. So many people think they don’t have time for breakfast. Whatever you think to be true; becomes your reality. How about changing that mind set, and opting for a healthy alkalising breakfast smoothie! It takes all of 5 minutes to make. If you have a magic bullet, there is no difficult blender to wash up; you can rinse and clean in a matter of seconds. No joke. A vitamix will also do the trick, but these are significantly more costly so you will want to be using the vitamix for more than just smoothies.

This alkalising breakfast smoothie is delicious – such an amazing way to start the day, packed with alkalising foods to help balance your internal body and aid digestion. I am not a big fan of big breakfasts. I  used to be, but having read a lot on how the body works I believe the body is still flushing and detoxing in the mornings. By eating big breakfasts we stop that process and force it into the next stage of its cycle before it is ready. Every person is different, and lives a different lifestyle, so listen to your own body. What works for some, will not work for others. Keep tweaking, changing and monitoring your results systematically, and you will get there..with help from people you respect!

Well written article, I am so looking forward to being home for the next few weeks so I can get my diet under control – will be going to the markets this weekend for fresh produce and try this one out!
